Sugar-free condensed milk with just 3 ingredients

Making sugar-free condensed milk at home is simple and requires just a few ingredients. This version uses a natural sweetener like steviaerythritol, or monk fruit to keep it sugar-free while still giving you the creamy, rich texture that regular condensed milk provides. You can use this sugar-free condensed milk in all your favorite recipes, like desserts, coffee, or as a sweetener in cooking. Here’s how to make Sugar-Free Condensed Milk with just 3 ingredients:

Sugar-Free Condensed Milk (3 Ingredients)

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or any other milk alternative, or full-fat regular milk)
  • 1/2 cup powdered erythritol, stevia, or monk fruit sweetener (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened condensed coconut milk (or heavy cream for a richer, non-dairy option)

Instructions:

1. Combine the Ingredients:

  • In a medium saucepan, add the unsweetened almond milksweetener (erythritol, stevia, or monk fruit), and unsweetened condensed coconut milk (or heavy cream). Stir to combine all the ingredients.

2. Simmer and Thicken:

  • Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a simmer. Stir occasionally to ensure the sweetener dissolves completely and doesn’t clump.
  • Once the mixture is simmering, reduce the heat to low and continue to cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring frequently. This allows the milk to reduce and thicken, just like regular condensed milk. Be careful not to let it boil over.
  • The mixture should thicken to a syrupy consistency. You can test this by dipping a spoon in the mixture. If it coats the back of the spoon, it’s ready.

3. Cool and Store:

  • Once it has thickened, remove the pan from the heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
  • Pour the sugar-free condensed milk into a jar or airtight container. Allow it to cool to room temperature before sealing.
  • Store in the refrigerator for up to 1-2 weeks. The condensed milk will continue to thicken slightly as it cools.

Tips:

  • Sweetener Choice: If you’re using a different sweetener, make sure it dissolves well in the milk. Some sweeteners, like stevia, are sweeter than sugar, so you may need to adjust the quantity based on your taste preference.
  • Consistency: If you want your sugar-free condensed milk to be thicker, simply let it simmer a bit longer. Keep in mind that it will thicken further once it cools.
  • Flavor Variations: You can also add a vanilla extract or a pinch of salt for flavor. Vanilla gives the milk a richer taste, making it perfect for desserts.

Uses for Sugar-Free Condensed Milk:

  • Coffee & Tea: Use it to sweeten your coffee, tea, or iced beverages.
  • Desserts: It works well in sugar-free pies, cakes, and candies. You can substitute it in any recipe that calls for sweetened condensed milk.
  • Smoothies: Add a tablespoon to your smoothies for a creamy, sweet base.
  • Cereal & Oats: Drizzle over cereal, oatmeal, or pancakes for added sweetness.

This sugar-free condensed milk is easy to make and versatile, providing you with a guilt-free alternative to traditional condensed milk in all your recipes. Enjoy
