Honey Garlic Butter Chicken RecipeIngredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp olive oil or vegetable oil (for searing)
For the Sauce:
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/3 cup honey
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard (optional, for tanginess)
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar or lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
Instructions:
Serve:Â Serve hot with rice, mashed potatoes, or veggies. Pour extra sauce on top!
Season the Chicken:Â Pat chicken dry. Season both sides with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
Sear the Chicken: Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken breasts for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from pan and set aside.
Make the Sauce: In the same pan, reduce heat to medium. Add butter and let it melt. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
Add Remaining Sauce Ingredients: Stir in honey, Dijon mustard (if using), soy sauce, vinegar/lemon juice, and red pepper flakes. Let it simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
Return Chicken to Pan: Add the chicken back into the skillet. Spoon the sauce over the chicken and simmer for another 5–7 minutes, or until chicken is fully cooked (internal temp: 165°F / 74°C).
Serve:Â Serve hot with rice, mashed potatoes, or veggies. Pour extra sauce on top!
